What to Look For in Pet Pigs
Kennel Club North Shore Animal League America, Inc. is in need of a full time Pet Store Manager to help maintain the high quality standards of the shop. The store is a small shop on the North Shore of Cape Cod, which serves a mainly middle to upper class female clientele. Many of the clients are pet lovers and/or animal lovers who own multiple pets. Due to the large clientele, the business is quite profitable with an average of about $30 per week in sales. There are two small shops; one in Westport, Massachusetts and the other in Dedham, Massachusetts.
The owner/operator of the pet store loves all animal lovers and pets in general, however, it is a specialty shop. It caters to the female clientele who make up the majority of customers. Because it caters mainly to females, it would be a good fit if there were a focus on this particular customer group and a marketing plan in place to attract them. There are two main factors that affect a pet store's customer base: the store's location and the Pet store marketing strategy. If either of these factors is weak, then the overall customer experience will suffer.
The location is not a huge issue for pet stores with a lot of outdoor space because most capybaras like to frolic in the grass and browse. However, a cape barbeque can get really messy if the weather is hot or humid. It could also get extremely messy and smelly for customers if the weather is cold. The alternative to the wet capybaras is to use shaded areas at the pet store that will allow them to cool down comfortably while still outdoors.
Another thing that you need to consider is how well the owner conducts business. Capybaras love to interact with humans. It would be a good idea to have an individual come into the store once a week or so and socialize with the buyers. This helps both the pet store and the capybara grow as a team and establish a rapport that will benefit the animal. If an individual isn't too friendly or effective in interacting with customers, then you need to find someone who will.
One thing that is often overlooked is the diet of the capybara. Capybaras are tropical animals and they should eat foods that are made specifically for them. Unlike most pets, capybaras are omnivores which means that they eat plants, fungi, worms and bugs as well as meat. This means that you should only buy pet food from a reputable company that specializes in making specifically designed diets for capybaras. A store that raises one breed incorrectly can end up with ill-health capybaras. You should never raise one pet in a house that already has an existing sick capybara because it just doesn't make any sense.
One last thing to take into account when purchasing a pet piglet, ask yourself if you want a house or apartment that you can set up comfortably. Most capybaras live in small apartments that are easily furnished. Some of them even like to live in condos if their homes are not large enough to house them in their own apartments. I think that a combination of a house and an apartment is the perfect living arrangement for these unique creatures.
